## Version Strategy
|
|
|
|
We use the **latest Iceman/RRG firmware** for best feature support and bug fixes.
|
|
|
|
### Current Features
|

- Full SWIG Python bindings support
|
|
- USB-CDC communication
|
|
- All modern HF/LF protocols
|
|
|
|
### Known Changes from v4.14831
|
|
- `hw led` command removed - LED control now via different mechanism
|
|
- Improved stability
|
|
- Updated FPGA images
|
|
|
|
## Device Identification
|
|
|
|
Since `hw led` was removed in newer firmware, device identification uses
|
|
alternative methods:
|
|
- Device path enumeration (`/dev/ttyACM*`)
|
|
- Serial number (when available)
|
|
- `hw status` command output
|
|
|
|

|

The Proxmark3 firmware is built from source on the Pi at:
